2. Get the code and install
Clone your copy of the repository and move into it. Use the URL of your own private repository:
git clone <your repository URL> my-app
cd my-app
The code has two halves, each in its own folder:
backend/is the API server, built with NestJS (a framework for Node servers). It talks to the database and runs on port 4000.frontend/is the website, built with Next.js (a framework for React sites). It runs on port 3000.
Install the libraries for each half. Run this from the repository root:
cd backend && npm ci && cd ..
cd frontend && npm ci && cd ..
npm ci installs exactly the versions in the committed
package-lock.json, the same set the template's tests run against. Use npm
for this; another package manager would ignore that file and pick different
versions.
